Under general supervision, assist with the planning and implementation of Academic Success & Equity (ASE) programs; staff student success centers and provide front-line support to students; assist with student intake and provide specialized program information, assistance and advice to students from disproportionately-impacted populations regarding college programs and services or direct students to appropriate resources; work with other student services and instructional departments; provide culturally-responsive support to at-risk student populations; assist with events and may take the lead in planning certain events; perform administrative support and input program-specific information into databases and computer systems; and perform related duties as assigned.

Student Equity Regular Position California Oceanside, Cardiff, and/or Carlsbad
Five regular, full-time positions, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus. The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm with occasional weekends, late evenings, or early mornings per department needs. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.

*These positions are funded through categorical and grant funding for an initial three-year period. Continuation of employment beyond the initial funding period is contingent upon the availability of ongoing grant funding and/or alternative funding sources. The district will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice regarding funding status.

The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews may be in-person or via Zoom.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two-hundred (200) road miles from the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite. The purpose of the policy is to promote efficiency and continuity throughout all campus administrative functions, provide students with high quality assistance and accessibility to all academic and campus services, ensure that students receive an engaging education, and respond to emerging student needs.

The District may consider an individual request to temporarily reside outside of the State of California or outside the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months.
