MiraCosta College is seeking to fill one regular, full-time Administrative Support Assistant III position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus. The normal work schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to the in-person, student-facing nature of Equity Center operations, this position is not eligible for telework.

The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.

The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews will be conducted in person.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite.

The District may consider an individual’s request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months.

Under general supervision, perform difficult and responsible administrative and operational support duties; manage assigned administrative projects and small administrative programs; maintain records and draft reports; process payroll, personnel requisitions, purchase orders and maintain supplies; and perform related duties as assigned.

As Assigned to Academic Success & Equity (ASE) Programs / Equity Centers:
Provides administrative and operational support for The Equity Centers (El Centro, The BLOC), Puente, RAFFY, Umoja, Mana, Transitions Scholars, UPRISE, SPHERE, A2MEND, and any program that may follow. Serves as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and visitors at The Equity Centers; coordinates daily front-desk operations, center scheduling, and event logistics; supports student worker hiring, timekeeping, and payroll coordination; processes purchase requisitions, invoices, and reimbursements across multiple categorical, grant, and foundation funding sources; and maintains records in support of categorical program and grant compliance requirements, including fiscal reporting cycles.

Compensation:
Starting at $72,784 per year (range 20, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
